Commercial Street and the Aldgate Junction
Commercial Street (the A1202) runs the length of Spitalfields from north to south, from Shoreditch High Street past Christ Church down to the Aldgate junction, where it meets Whitechapel High Street, Commercial Road and Leman Street. It forms part of London's Inner Ring Road, and the stretch between Shoreditch and Aldgate is also the eastern boundary of the Congestion Charge zone. The road is a TfL Red Route, so stopping is only allowed in a signed bay, not on the carriageway itself.
